Biography

Kevin Gootee

His official entrance into the world of stand-up comedy began in the Spring of 2010, and he’s never looked back. Kevin’s fans have described his comedy as “cerebral fraternity guy.” He’s not sure what that means, but he likes it.

Kevin is also the creator, host, executive producer, and director of the show, “Comics Watching Comics.”  You can find seasons 1-8 on Amazon Video now.

He has performed at the Stand (NYC), Caroline’s Comedy Club (NYC) Southpoint Casino (Las Vegas), Levity Live (NY), Standup NY (NYC), NY Comedy Club (NYC), Atlantic City Comedy Club (NJ) Broadway Comedy Club (NYC), Greenwich Comedy Club (NYC), Yonkers Comedy Club, Eastville Comedy Club (NYC), HA! Comedy Club (NYC), Stress Factory (NJ), Taj Mahal Casino (NJ), and Comedy Cove (NJ).  He’s appeared at the Meadowlands Comedy Festival for 3 straight years. He also does private gigs (even TWO Sweet 16 birthdays) so drop him a line if you would like to book him.

He appears monthly John Fugelsang’s, “Tell Me Everything,” on Sirius Ch 121 as well as MORNIN’ on Compound Media.

One of Kevin’s passions are films and he has birthed the podcast, “Gutting the Sacred Cow.”  He and co-host Kevin Israel invite guests on to pick a film they feel is overrated or hate and then attempt to eviscerate said film…but here’s the twist!  The choice must meet 1 of 3 criteria: financial success, critically acclaimed, or widely beloved.  Anyone can take down Friday the 13th part 6 but it’s going to take skill to take down the likes of a Goodfellas, Back to the Future, or Star Wars.  We’re on all podcast platforms and Youtube, pick your choice here:  https://guttingthesacredcow.com/where-to-listen-%26-see-us

He also created, “Fantasy Football Jibber Jabber,” which airs on Youtube, Facebook, and Twitch.  The show combines NFL fantasy football advice with giving weekly his best bets on the games throughout the season and playoffs.  Not to brag (he will) but he went 61% against the spread last year and 56% the year before.  A lot of FREEEE money.

Kevin’s ultimate goal is to be the next great game show host, where he can continue to entertain millions while giving out free washers and dryers.  His next brain child, “Who Said That”, is an innovative concept of a movie themed game show.

Lastly, he does voiceover work and you’ve heard him in commercials for: Trident, Musselman’s, Autotrader, Starwood, Helluva Good Dip, the Sinkie (Google that for a laugh), HBC Bank, Taco Mac and American Express to name a few.

Currently, Kevin lives in the New York City metro area, where he is learning the ropes of fatherhood. He is the proud dad of a little girl.
